How Old Does The Rental Car Driver Have To Be?
23 to 75 Years. Young drivers surcharge is not included in the rental price. It is paid in the local currency at the rental desk.
What Drivers Licence Do I Need To Hire A Rental Car?
Drivers must hold a full license for minimum 1 year with no major endorsements. An International Driver's License (IDL) is required if the renter's national driver's license is not in Roman alphabet (i.e. Arabic, Greek, Russian or Chinese). International driver's license must be accompanied by the original domestic license of the driver. UK license holders must present both the photocard and its paper counterpart at the time of rental.
Can I Add An Additional Driver Or Drivers When Making A Rental Car Booking?
Additional drivers can be booked online or on arrival: Maximum additional drivers 3. Price will be available during booking process (Excludes Tax).
What Does My Rent A Car Insurance Cover?
- Collision damage waiver (CDW): Price will be available during booking process (Includes local Tax)
- Excess Complete cover package: Price will be available during booking process (Excludes Tax)
- Excess Theft waiver (TW): Price will be available during booking process (Includes local Tax)
- Excess Third party liability protection (TP): Price will be available during booking process (Includes local Tax). You may be held responsible for damage to or loss of tyres, windscreens, glass and undercarriage.
Please check with the car rental agent on arrival. If you purchase the Excess Reimbursement Insurance from a third party (such as Mondial Assistance), the credit card holder will be required to present his or her credit card at the car rental desk in order for the car rental agent to authorize the deposit.
What Special Equipment Or Optional Extras Are Available?
All optional extras can be purchased on arrival:

What Is Your Fuel Policy For Rental Car Hire?
- Pick up: full

Your vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full. Missing fuel will be charged on your return. (Suppliers fuel policies change from time to time, please confirm at rental counter) Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk unless otherwise stated in the top section of rate details.
What is Your Mileage Policy?
- Limited - Applicable to rentals of 1 to 3 days
- Unlimited - Applicable to rentals of minimum 4 days
Cross Border Travel Cross Border Travel allowed in most cases. Each car rental company will have its own specific laws related to borders and border crossings. This information will be made available during booking process * * Restrictions and charges may apply (Please check with the car rental agent on arrival)
What is the Tax Rate You Use?
Tax rate dependent on Country / Location you wish to hire your rental car and is vailable during booking process.
How Can I Pay For My Car Hire Booking Online?
Driver must have one of the following credit cards when collecting vehicle:
- American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron - Please check when making a car hire booking
Bookings can normally be paid for by either credit card or debit card online. Car rental agents require a credit card in the driver's name to be presented at the rental desk. This is because a deposit is required which is held on the credit card until the vehicle is returned. In some countries you may be required to present two credit cards when renting higher vehicle groups.
Always ensure that the card has sufficient credit available at the time of rental. The amount authorized is generally the insurance excess and the fuel deposit, but it varies depending upon the size of the vehicle, the age of the driver, the car rental agent, rental duration and pick up location. In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card or lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card, car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.
Anything Else I Should Bring When Picking Up The Car?
Another form of identification is normally required along with your license.

What Do I do with my Rental Car Voucher?
Your car hire voucher must be produced on arrival at the rental desk. Failure to present your voucher, means we cannot be held responsible for any additional charges. No refunds will be issued unless Agent received voucher from Renter. Please note: We are not responsible for overcharges on rentals where the voucher was not presented to the local agent on collection of the vehicle.

Safety Ideas & Tips
Before Driving
Before you drive away in your hire car, check maps and other visitor information, as wrestling with a map whilst on the road, especially when driving on the other side of the road, is not recommended! Familiarise yourself with the car controls before you drive away and check how much fuel is in the tank - its easy to forget vital details like fuel levels when you just want to get to where you are going!
Road Laws
When driving abroad, always familiarise yourself with any local restrictions, as these could be very different from what you are used to at home. Things to check for are; differing road signs and markings, speed limits, parking zones (especially in cities) and most of all don't drink and drive! This may seem obvious but some countries have a zero tolerance towards blood alcohol levels which means a driver is not allowed to have consumed ANY alcohol before driving. (A car hire supplier reserves the right to refuse to supply a vehicle if they believe that you have consumed alcohol) Bear in mind if you drink the night before you plan to drive anywhere you could still fail a blood alcohol test. Please be safe - being arrested for drunk driving abroad will definitely ruin your holiday.
Car Hire optional Extras
If you will be travelling to snowy areas you may need to hire a set of snow chains when picking up your hire car, but this can work out to be quite pricey. You may find that it is cheaper to pre-book or request snow chains online when making your booking. Price will be available during booking process (Excludes Tax).
Driving in a Foreign Country
IDP (International Drivers Permit) - One of these may be required in addition to your national drivers licence when driving abroad.
